City Grrrl arrived during CSS’s third-album era, when the São Paulo band were still running on the sugary, sexually restless energy that made their debut impossible to ignore. Cansei de Ser Sexy—tired of being sexy, the name lifted from something Beyoncé supposedly said—had always made music that felt one bad decision away from disaster, and this track fit that template perfectly.
