The Shoes are two guys from Nancy making French electronic pop that moves at exactly the speed it wants to—not slow, not urgent, just unhurried in a way that becomes its own argument. Wastin’ Time has that quality their best tracks share: a lightness of touch that feels effortless, which probably means they worked at it obsessively.
