Out Into the Street

We go out into the street together. Not to march, not to run—just to be out in it, to insist that summer exists despite the weather, to activate it by deciding it does. Bon Iver carries part of the weight, The Go! Team carries another, Nneka holds the rest. We hold each other and dance until the night runs out, and somewhere in that we learn something about a life too short for caution. This is the road.
