There are actors who photograph well and then there’s Nicole Kidman, who seems to enter an entirely different register when a camera is involved—something calculated and something genuinely unguarded happening in the same frame at the same time. Whatever the "Wild Ride" shoot was, it landed in that territory: Kidman occupying a visual space most actors can’t reach, the kind of image that makes the photographer look more talented than they probably are.
