This Is Jane Wayne occupied a geography that didn’t quite exist on any map—the imaginary space between Berlin’s studied cool and something more romantically French. Their song Zwischen Berlin und Paris lived in that gap literally: two cities, two registers, never fully settling into either. Some artists are restless because they haven’t found their sound. These two seemed restless by design.
