Too Bright, Too Fast, Exactly Right

Tempura Kidz are a Japanese dance and performance group who exist somewhere in the overlap between Harajuku street fashion and high-production J-pop video chaos—too costumed and strange to be straightforwardly pop, too precise to be purely art. "Cider Cider" runs on that exact frequency: everything slightly too saturated, choreography that never stops, a track that sounds designed to make you feel like you’re buffering at a high frame rate. It shouldn’t cohere as well as it does.
