Details, Dissolving
Chaz Bundick put out "So Many Details" as the first signal from what would become Anything in Return, and it was immediately clear he was done with the blissed-out murk of his earlier records. The track is cleaner, tighter, more anxious—all those layered textures pulled into something that actually has edges and knows where it’s going. The title sounds like overwhelm, like standing in a room where every surface is talking at once, and the music earns it. One of those songs that makes more sense in headphones, late at night, when the details of your own life are also getting a little too loud to sort through.
