Milan Dixon’s Flaggenfetisch treats national symbols as fetish objects—not in the ironic theoretical sense but in the actual textile, haptic, I-want-to-touch-this sense. Flags as fabric first, ideology a distant second. The work is more interesting for that order of priorities.
