This Is Jane Wayne made the kind of warm, unfussy indie pop that always seemed to belong somewhere outdoors—away from anything requiring effort or explanation. A Nike shoot in a meadow tracks perfectly for them. Not the high-performance Nike of sponsored athletes, but the other one: the one that exists on a slow afternoon when nobody’s clocking anything. Loose clothes, green field, summer light doing all the work.
