Go Hard or Disappear

Kreayshawn had one of the stranger short arcs in early 2010s rap. Her 2011 debut Gucci Gucci became a genuine viral moment—lo-fi and bratty, a white girl from Oakland talking shit about designer labels while wearing none of them. Go Hard (La La La) arrived in 2012 while she was still figuring out what to do with all that attention, landing somewhere between a party chant and a dare. Whether the follow-through matched the introduction was a question the internet had strong and mostly unkind feelings about. That’s usually how it goes when you arrive loud and fast.
