Eight Legs Down from Orbit

The premise of Spiders 3D is structurally sound: a decommissioned Soviet space station falls to Earth and crashes into the New York City subway, releasing spiders that have been mutating in zero gravity for decades and have accordingly grown to the size of small buildings. Director Tibor Takács plays the whole thing completely straight, which is either the correct instinct or the only available one, and I respect it either way. The film delivers exactly what the premise promises and nothing it doesn’t.
