You Only Live Once, So Don’t

The Lonely Island’s "YOLO," off their 2013 album The Wack Album, takes Drake’s reckless party motto and runs it in exactly the opposite direction—you only live once, so stay inside, wear a seatbelt, don’t eat sushi, get tested, maybe don’t go outside at all. Andy Samberg and Akiva Schaffer deliver the anxiety spiral with complete deadpan sincerity, and Kendrick Lamar playing it entirely straight is a better use of his talents than most earnest features from that year. The chorus is genuinely catchy, which makes the whole thing somehow more unsettling than it has any right to be.
