Fair Market Value

Rosie Jones titled her book Million Dollar Baby with either complete sincerity or perfect irony, and honestly either reading works. She’s a British model who built her career on glamour work with more personality than the genre usually allows—there’s something in how she handles the camera that suggests she finds the whole enterprise genuinely funny, which keeps you interested in ways that pure aesthetics alone wouldn’t. The book is exactly what you’d expect and better than it needs to be. I’m not going to pretend I picked it up for the typography.
