What the Delivery Guy Said

Ylvis released What Does the Fox Say? in September as a joke, and within weeks it had colonized the entire internet. You couldn’t open a browser without it. The song is objectively ridiculous—a straight-faced Eurodance production about the vocalization habits of foxes—and that’s exactly why it worked. It had the kind of absurdist confidence that makes you laugh and then immediately want to show it to someone else.

Someone filmed a pizza delivery guy who, upon arriving at a door, was greeted by a group doing the full dance. He didn’t hesitate. He just set the box under his arm and joined in, completely committed. The clip is maybe thirty seconds long and it’s the most purely joyful thing I’ve seen this month.

There’s a specific category of viral moment that works because someone chose fun over professionalism at exactly the right instant. He could have smiled politely and waited them out. Instead he raised the bar for every pizza delivery that will ever happen at that address again.
