Roman’s Hypothesis

Someone called Roman ran an experiment: he drove a Lamborghini up to women on the street and asked them on dates. This is the internet’s oldest recurring hypothesis—that wealth signals are the only variable in attraction, that any man with access to the right prop can skip the entire conversation. The results confirmed the hypothesis because the experiment was designed to confirm the hypothesis.

What I find interesting isn’t the outcome—of course some people are drawn to expensive cars, this is not news—but the particular need to prove it, film it, and post it. The man sitting alone cataloging his rejections and landing on "wrong car" as the culprit rather than personality, or patience, or the slow grinding work of becoming genuinely interesting to another person. The Lamborghini isn’t a solution. It’s a way to make the problem someone else’s fault.

Maybe it works. Maybe Roman dated someone for six months off the back of a supercar. I genuinely hope it made him happy.
