Five Minutes of Naked Teeth

The Flume remix of Disclosure’s You & Me does something physical to you before you’ve consciously decided to let it—a slow pressure in the chest, a held breath. The video makes it worse. Or better, depending on your afternoon. Nearly five full minutes of a naked couple biting and clawing at each other, and I’m sitting at my desk genuinely needing to get up and walk around before I write another sentence.

Flume already had a reputation for taking a good song and hollowing it out to something cavernous and strange—this remix does exactly that, stripping the Disclosure track back until it’s nearly skeletal, all reverb and low-end breath. The visual matches the energy. Nothing gratuitous in any cheap sense, just bodies doing what bodies do when they actually want each other, which turns out to be more exposing than anything explicitly pornographic. By minute three you feel implicated. You’re not watching anymore. You’re just in it.

This is the good stuff.
