Two Dicks, One T-Shirt
Kalen Hollomon draws dicks on white t-shirts. Not as protest, not as statement—just dicks, matter-of-factly, the way other designers put stripes or polo logos. His best work is a shirt reading Bro’s Before Ho’s in slightly imperfect English, illustrated with two penises that are apparently best friends.
The shirt is perfect. Not in a design sense—it’s not trying to be design. It’s perfect because it captures something true about male friendship: the willingness to look ridiculous together, the shared history of bad decisions, the years of getting drunk in parks and starting fights you barely remember, the threesome some girl talked you both into once that you never quite discuss but never forget. That’s the whole relationship, right there on one cotton garment.
Hollomon makes the kind of art that refuses to be more than what it is. A dick is a dick. A bro is a bro. Sometimes that’s enough.
