Someone Has to Think About the Children

Careers, money, safe sex—the adult preoccupations stack up and the children somehow never make the list. Marteria noticed. The German rapper—born Marten Laciny, out of Rostock—put out a video for Kids (2 Finger an den Kopf) featuring a pack of visibly annoyed children making a two-finger-to-the-temple gesture as they tear through the city. It reads somewhere between a gun and a dismissal, which is probably correct.

Whether the video makes anyone actually think about kids for longer than its runtime is doubtful. But I appreciate that someone made the gesture—the metaphorical one.
