Pink Is Always an Argument
Pink is one of those colors that never stops arguing with itself. The Pretty in Pink reference plants a flag immediately—John Hughes knew the color carried a whole class politics, that wearing it wrong in the wrong hallway meant something. Molly Ringwald’s Andie understood this better than anyone in that film, which is why she sewed her own dress instead of buying one. These looks carry some of that same awareness: pink worn as a statement, not a default.
