Kayslee Collins Is Living the Life I Clearly Took a Wrong Turn Away From
The cruelest part of seeing someone live exactly the life you’d want is that it’s usually too late to course-correct. Kayslee Collins is 22, shoots for photographers Joe Villanueva and Katie Stone, and apparently gets paid actual money to wander around in various states of undress looking effortlessly good in whatever light is available. No pants, sometimes no shirt, occasionally a bike involved somewhere, always a camera nearby to document the whole arrangement.
I’m not entirely sure what the career path is called. Model, maybe, though that word flattens it. The job seems to be: be young, be appealing, be relaxed about the body you’re in, and let someone document it while you do basically nothing strenuous. This is an actual job. People do this for money and I somehow ended up not being one of them.
Where did I go wrong? I’ve been asking myself since I first saw her photos and I still don’t have a satisfying answer.
