Kiko Mizuhara Belongs to No Category
Kiko Mizuhara was born in Texas, grew up in Japan, and has spent her adult life declining to fully belong to any single world—fashion, film, music, streetwear—while remaining instantly recognizable in all of them. She carried a substantial portion of Tran Anh Hung’s adaptation of Norwegian Wood with genuine weight, then stepped back into modeling and fronting campaigns as though neither the serious nor the frivolous requires justification. That refusal to sort herself is the most interesting thing about her. Everything she wears looks like a decision rather than a costume.
