The White Wig, Everything Else Optional
Emily Ratajkowski shot a video for treats! magazine, and the entire wardrobe decision amounts to one very large white wig. The rest of her is just there, fully present, not asking for your opinion. It’s not subtle and it’s not trying to be, and I respect that honesty completely.
She was already a specific kind of famous by this point—"Blurred Lines," the whole exhausting cultural argument of that summer—but the treats! video bypasses all of that and gets straight to the subject, which is that she is extraordinarily good-looking and knows exactly what she’s doing in front of a camera. No concept required, no narrative to follow. Sometimes that’s enough. This time it’s more than enough. What a life.
