All I Want Is Her Life
Missing summer isn’t really about warmth. It’s about permission—permission to run around in shorts without risking frostbite, to eat a popsicle in public without strangers giving you the look reserved for people who’ve done something genuinely unforgivable. Netflix and thick blankets and hot chocolate will get you through the winter, theoretically, but they don’t replace the sun.
Alessandro Casagrande recently photographed Paula Bulczynska for P Magazine, and the results are exactly what you’d hope: direct light, a woman visibly thriving in it. Maybe I don’t miss summer at all. Maybe I just want Paula’s life. Honestly, who could say.
